Hidden Canyon/Bowen House

The Wednesday hike, Jan. 10, started our rainy, very cool, and foggy. It sure made the scenery seem a bit eerie yet still unique.

What a weather change we had on this hike! It rained harder, so some turned back. Then at the top of our 1st mountain the rain stopped, fog lifted, the sun came out for awhile, & it was nice & warm. We even had the company of about 15 Mule Deer.

We took a nice break at the Bowen House, a landmark that we have visited many times on other hikes in the same area.

A second group took a shorter hike and also took their break at the Bowen House.

It turned out be a great hike, even with the different weather changes, and everyone remarked how great our day turned out after all.
