Rogers Rock at Madera Canyon

If you’re looking for some cooler temps, head south on I-19, take the Continental Road exit in Green Valley, head east, and follow the signs to Madera Canyon in the Santa Rita Mountains.  That’s what almost forty hikers did on Wednesday!   One group went on the nature trail, the other on to Rogers Rock.FullSizeRender

After two and a half miles and an elevation gain of just over 1000′,

you’ll reach Rogers Rock, allowing you to enjoy a fabulous view of the valley.

It’s also a great place for photos!

Many thanks to the man in the kilt, Dave Carr, for laying the hike out for us and not letting us get lost!
