While most of the RV park was still asleep, eight adventurous hikers were on the road to Picacho Peak State Park. Waiting for us was a one way, two mile hike with a climb of 1600′.
For some, this was their first time up, for others our second, and for, Kathy, her fourth time up!!!
The weather was chilly but soon warmed up. The ground was damp so extra caution was necessary as some of the steps and rocks were slick. Our gloves came in handy when we used the cables to climb up and down.
It’s always an amazing experience once you reach the peak, a sense of accomplishment. Well done, my friends!
