The Sutherland Trail is located in Catalina State Park.
The trail starts out sandy, but then turns to stone and sandy, but still an easy walk. This is an uphill walk for the most part, gaining 645 feet from our starting point.
I consider this one of the prettier hikes we have done.
There even was water in Sutherland wash! The wildflowers were going crazy. Lots of yellow, blue, white and red flowers blooming. The Butterflies were even out in full force, especially around the water.
Our group totaled 31 hikers, split into 2 groups. It was an enjoyable hike, but did get a little warm on the way back.
Even though we were in the area of Big Horns, we did not spot any!
